Each pose is held for anywhere from 3 to 7 mins looking beyond the muscles and targeting the deeper connective tissues (joints, joint capsules, ligaments, tendons and fascia). All tissues in the body need stimulation to be healthy and the connective tissues are no exception. Yin targets these deeper tissues to create a strong, healthy, mobile and spacious body, clearing blockages and encouraging energy flow. Yin is therapeutic for the body and the mind, a deeply healing practice.
